Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in publishing with FoRB.Press. We welcome manuscripts that contribute to public understanding, education and advocacy on freedom of religion or belief (FoRB). These guidelines are simple on purpose: if your work touches on religious freedom, we want to hear from you.
What we publish
- Books and essays on freedom of religion or belief and related topics: religious freedom, religious literacy, sociology of religion, law and religion, interreligious dialogue, discrimination and persecution, human rights.
- Academic works, practical guides, personal testimonies and educational materials.
- Manuscripts in any of our languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch.
What we ask for
- A Word, PDF or plain-text file of your manuscript — a draft is fine, it does not need to be perfect.
- A short description (2–3 sentences) of the work and its purpose.
- Your name and contact email.
- If available: a short author bio and any relevant background (studies, publications, experience on the subject).
What we do not require
- You do not need to be an academic or a published author.
- You do not need a literary agent.
- There is no submission fee, at any stage.
Review process
- Send your manuscript through the Submit Your Manuscript form.
- We confirm receipt within a few days.
- Our editorial team reviews the manuscript — usually within 2–4 weeks — and may suggest edits or translations.
- If accepted, we agree the publication details with you: format (print, e-book or free download), languages, cover and timeline.
Rights
You keep the copyright of your work. FoRB.Press asks only for your permission to publish and distribute it. The exact terms are agreed with you in writing before publication.
